dhb have taken their first few pedal strokes into the world of custom apparel with Australian super-club Manly Warringah Cycling Club.

The British-based sportswear brand are currently title partner of men’s UCI Continental road team Canyon dhb pb Soreen, who boast former Aussie criterium champion Brenton Jones among their ranks.

dhb are also official kit supplier to women’s National Road Series outfit Sydney Uni-Staminade, however, the link-up with the biggest cycling club in New South Wales is a landmark moment in their short history.

Manly Warringah members can choose between the brand’s premium Aeron and Aeron LAB collections – with the latter featuring speedsuits, jerseys and bib shorts created in cutting edge Italian aerodynamic fabrics, tested in the wind tunnel and victorious in UCI races.

dhb will also provide a financial investment to the club – with the first dhb West Head Road Race having taken place in August last month.

Club president Mitch Dixon said: “Club kit is a large part of our identity. We need something that fits our brand and also fits our backsides.

“We've been using a variety of kit suppliers over the years so when we were approached by dhb we had to ask the question, why change?

“The most important thing is how does it feel, so we tried it on and were very impressed. Following our testing period, we made the decision to switch.

“Bringing dhb on as a club sponsor was even better as the financial support allows us to provide even better offerings for our members and provide top-level kit at a great price.”

Manly Warringah are one of the highest profile clubs in Australia, with riders ranging from beginners to world champions – not to mention national champions, who will ride in bespoke Aeron LAB jerseys this season.

“We are super proud of our recent Australian champions and excited to see them in our new dhb Aussie champions jerseys,” added Dixon.

“Not only is the Aeron LAB range high quality, we got to add our design to make it a jersey you want to wear.”

dhb’s partnership with Manly Warringah will extend through 2022. And brand manager Rob Atkins is excited by the potential of the collaboration.

He said: “The opportunity to work with Manly is extremely exciting for us. It is a great chance to raise awareness of our kit Down Under while crucially supporting the sport at grass roots level.

“This is something that is hugely important at dhb. We are proud of the welcoming and diverse community we have developed and are eager to grow both at home and abroad.

“This custom kit model is a new venture for us, and we are grateful to Manly for their patience in helping us get it off the ground during such a challenging time.

“We know the club are renowned for putting on great events, so we are really excited to see riders of every level showing off their dhb kit in the coming weeks and months. Don’t hold back!”
